Before you decide, the questions people always ask

When the temples lose volume, the area just outside the outer corner of the eye reads as empty and the cheekbones start to look more prominent by comparison, so the whole face appears drawn. The smooth curve that should carry from the forehead down into the cheek is broken, and that alone can make a face look older. Restoring volume here reconnects the flow across the upper face and softens the overall impression.
Important blood vessels and nerves run through this region, so the injector has to know the exact plane and position before placing anything. That is why we work carefully in a deep plane close to the bone and never push in a large volume at once. If your vision seems strange or you feel severe pain at any point during the treatment, you must tell us immediately.
The temple barely moves, so filler here tends to hold longer than in a constantly moving area such as around the mouth. That said, results vary a great deal depending on the product, the volume placed and how quickly your own body breaks it down. Watching how the first treatment settles tells us your personal absorption rate, which makes choosing the timing of the next session far easier.
We do not go inside the temporal hairline; we treat only the hollowed surface itself. Crossing that border can leave an unnatural step where the two areas meet. If a fringe or your hairline hides part of the area, we push the hair back during the consultation and check it together.
Because the product goes into a deep plane, you will feel a pushing pressure, and since the temple sits close to bone that sensation can register almost like a sound. It is a different feeling from pain, but it can startle you, so we explain it in advance. If it feels uncomfortable, we simply slow the pace down.
