Terms of Use
Effective from · September 1, 2026
This is a translation provided for your convenience. The Korean version is the authoritative text; where the two differ, the Korean version prevails.
These terms set out the conditions that apply when you use the website operated by QD Clinic (“the Clinic”). By using the website you are taken to have agreed to them.
Article 1 (Purpose)
These terms set out the rights, obligations and responsibilities of the Clinic and of users in relation to the services the Clinic’s website provides.
Article 2 (Definitions)
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Website | The internet site the Clinic operates and every page within it |
| User | Anyone who visits the website and uses it under these terms |
| Consultation enquiry | Sending the Clinic a question through the enquiry form on the website. This is not the same as booking an appointment (Article 5) |
Article 3 (Publication and amendment of these terms)
- The Clinic publishes these terms through a link at the foot of the website so that anyone can read them.
- The Clinic may amend these terms to the extent that doing so does not breach the applicable law.
- When these terms are amended, the Clinic will announce the amendment and its effective date on the website at least seven days beforehand — and at least thirty days beforehand where the amendment is unfavourable to users.
- If you do not agree to the amended terms, you may stop using the website.
Article 4 (What the website provides)
The website provides the following.
- Information about the Clinic, its doctors, its opening hours and how to get there
- Information about the treatments and surgery the Clinic performs
- Announcements about the Clinic’s events and news
- Receipt of online consultation enquiries
The website has no membership, no login and no payment, and using it costs nothing. The Clinic does not examine, diagnose or prescribe through the website, and provides no medical treatment online.
Article 5 (Online consultation enquiries)
A consultation enquiry is a question left with the Clinic. It does not by itself confirm an appointment. Appointments are confirmed separately, by telephone or through the booking channel the Clinic directs you to.
- The Clinic will contact you during its opening hours, by whichever method you chose when sending the enquiry (telephone or e-mail). Depending on opening hours and how many enquiries are waiting, a reply may take some time.
- What you write is used only to answer your enquiry; the details are governed by the Privacy Policy.
- The Clinic may decline to reply to, or refuse to accept, an enquiry that gives contact details that are not genuine, that is sent for advertising, promotion or sales purposes, that repeats the same content so as to obstruct the Clinic’s work, or that contains abuse or threats.
If your symptoms are urgent or serious, do not wait for a reply to an enquiry. Telephone the Clinic or go to your nearest emergency medical facility. The enquiry form is not an emergency contact channel.
Article 6 (About the medical information on this website)
The descriptions of treatments and surgery on this website are general information. They do not replace an examination, a diagnosis or a prescription for any particular person.
- Results and recovery times differ from person to person. Nothing written here means that the same will happen for everyone.
- Every medical procedure can have side effects. Whether a procedure suits you, and what risks it carries, must be established through consultation and examination with a doctor.
- Where photographs or cases appear on this website, they show what happened in those cases and are not a promise of the same outcome.
- If you are under the care of another clinic or are taking any medication, please tell us when you consult us.
The information here changes when a treatment or a device changes. What you actually receive, and its scope, is decided in consultation and examination.
Article 7 (Users’ obligations)
When using the website you may not do any of the following.
- Interfere with the normal operation of the website
- Collect the contents of the website in bulk by automated means, or connect to it repeatedly within a short time
- Send a consultation enquiry using someone else’s name or contact details
- Infringe the copyright or other rights of the Clinic or of any third party
- Act in breach of the law or contrary to public order and morals
Article 8 (Copyright)
- Copyright and all other rights in the text, photographs, images and page design on this website belong to the Clinic or to the rightful owner.
- You may not reproduce, distribute or transmit them, or use them for commercial purposes, without the Clinic’s prior consent.
- Viewing them privately, or quoting them with attribution, does not fall under this article.
Article 9 (Availability and interruption of the service)
- The website is in principle available 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
- It may nevertheless be interrupted for a time where this is unavoidable — for system maintenance or replacement, a communications failure, or a natural disaster.
- The Clinic announces interruptions it can foresee. Where an interruption arises from something that could not be foreseen, it may not be announced in advance.
- Replies to consultation enquiries are sent during the Clinic’s opening hours.
Article 10 (Links to external sites)
- The website contains links to sites the Clinic does not operate — booking channels, maps, social media, video — and embeds content from them within its pages.
- The terms and policies of each of those sites govern their content, their services and their handling of personal information, and the Clinic is not responsible for them.
- What each external tool does inside our pages is set out in section 9 of the Privacy Policy.
Article 11 (Protection of personal information)
The Clinic protects users’ personal information in accordance with the applicable law. What we receive, what we use it for and when we delete it are governed by the Privacy Policy.
Article 12 (Responsibility)
- The Clinic is not responsible for failing to provide the website where this results from something outside its control, such as a natural disaster or a communications failure.
- The Clinic is not responsible for the consequences of decisions you make on the basis of the information on this website alone. Medical decisions must be made through consultation and examination with a doctor (Article 6).
- This does not apply, however, where loss is caused to a user by the Clinic’s intent or gross negligence.
This article concerns use of the website. Responsibility for medical treatment the Clinic actually performs is governed by the Medical Service Act and other applicable law, not by these terms, and these terms cannot reduce or exclude it.
Article 13 (Governing law and resolution of disputes)
- The law of the Republic of Korea applies to these terms and to use of the website.
- If a dispute arises between the Clinic and a user, the parties will confer in good faith to resolve it.
- Where a dispute is not resolved by agreement, proceedings shall be brought before the court having jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act.
