Before you decide, the questions people always ask
before consultation
The aim is a soft, continuous line running from the forehead down to the nose when your face is seen in profile. It is not about doming the whole forehead upward; we look at the hollow areas together with the areas that already project, and work on the transition between them. If you show us a photo of the profile you have in mind, we will go through it and tell you separately what is within reach and what would be difficult.
The skin on the forehead is thin and the surface is flat, so even slight unevenness catches the light. That is why we keep the product in one consistent layer, spread it over a wide area, and do not place a large volume in a single session. If a ridge you can feel remains, or if something stands out from a particular angle, it needs to be checked, so please get in touch.
The two are often planned together. Botulinum toxin addresses the pull of the muscles that create the lines, while filler addresses the surface that has sunken, so their roles are different. That said, doing both on the same day can make the result hard to judge because of swelling and spread, so we often suggest leaving an interval between them.
You will feel pressure as the product goes in, and a heavy sensation can linger for a day or two. It usually settles on its own, but if the pain keeps getting worse or your vision changes in any way, contact us straight away. If you are prone to migraines, it helps to tell us in advance.
For the first few days, please avoid sleeping face down or pressing on your forehead. Pressure applied before the filler has settled into place can change the shape. Put off facial massage and scalp treatments for a few days as well, and it is better to leave helmets and tight hats aside during that time.
