is this for me

Who it’s for

Even if none of these describes you, we will look again at the consultation.

  • Dry or dehydrated skin that needs hydration as well as repair
  • Those who want an immediate plumping effect alongside skin quality
  • People who prefer a more comfortable injection (lidocaine in the formula)
  • Anyone new to Rejuran who wants a gentler first experience

Whether HB or another Rejuran formula suits you is confirmed during consultation.

Before you pick a treatment name, start with the cause of your concern.

start with your concern

Even a treatment with the same name takes on a different role and scope depending on your current structure, the change you want, what you have had before and the recovery time you have.

  • 01

Where you are now, and where we start

Moisture and texture in dry, sensitive skin

  • 02

The change you want, the impression you keep

Rather than adding more volume, we decide where to fill and where to leave alone, and the line at which expression stays natural.

  • 03

How it differs from similar options

We compare what filler, Botox and skin boosters each change and what they cannot change, with the alternatives alongside them.

  • 04

    Health information and recovery schedule

Beforehand we check blood thinners, immune conditions and allergies, past injectables, possible pregnancy and the dates that matter.

the
principle

Before the product name we match the actual ingredients, the injection layer and your skin concern, then decide the dose, the interval and anything done alongside it.

Rejuran HB combines polynucleotides (PN) from salmon DNA with hyaluronic acid (HA), and its formula includes lidocaine. The PN supports the skin’s own repair, while the added HA provides immediate hydration and a plumping effect, and the lidocaine helps make the injections more comfortable. This blend is why HB is a frequent choice for dry or dehydrated skin and for those who prefer a gentler experience. “HB” refers to this hyaluronic-acid–blended formula.

Rejuran HB

How it works

  • 01

    Polynucleotides plus hyaluronic acid

HB blends polynucleotides (PN) from salmon DNA with hyaluronic acid (HA), and its formula also includes lidocaine.

  • 02

    Repair and immediate hydration

The PN supports the skin’s own repair, while the added HA provides immediate hydration and a plumping effect.

  • 03

    A more comfortable injection

The lidocaine in the formula is intended to make the microinjections more comfortable, alongside the numbing cream applied first.

  • 04

    Hydration early, quality over time

Hydration can be felt relatively early, while skin-quality change develops over a series of sessions. (Results vary by individual.)

The same treatment, never the same plan.

personal plan

Rejuran HB is a polynucleotide (PN) skin booster that adds hyaluronic acid (HA) for immediate hydration, with lidocaine in the formula for a more comfortable injection. At QD Clinic in Gangnam, Seoul, HB is often chosen for dry or dehydrated skin and by those who want hydration alongside skin repair. A session usually takes about 20–40 minutes including numbing. (Results vary by individual.)

  • Ingredients and authenticity

We check the product name, the maker, the ingredients, the expiry date and the use approved for that purpose.

  • Anatomy and expression

We look at where vessels are at risk, at muscle movement, skin thickness and the proportions of the whole face, then set the injection points.

  • Small amounts, one stage at a time

Allowing for swelling and the early response, we avoid overcorrection and top it up later if that is needed.

What the procedure is like

  1. Consultation and skin assessment
  2. Cleansing and numbing cream
  3. Microinjections across the treatment area
  4. Cooling, soothing and aftercare guidance

Time: A session takes about 20–40 minutes, including numbing time.

Please read this before treatment

  • Little downtime; small raised bumps at the injection sites may appear and usually settle within about 1–2 days.
  • Temporary redness, mild swelling, tenderness or minor bruising may occur.
  • Avoid makeup, saunas and intense exercise briefly, use sun protection, and follow the guidance we provide.

Safety & considerations

Possible reactions

  • Small raised bumps at the injection sites, usually settling within about 1–2 days
  • Temporary redness, mild swelling or a flushed feeling
  • Tenderness in the treated area for a short time
  • Occasionally minor bruising at injection points

When to take extra care

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding — let us know at consultation
  • Active skin infection, inflammation or open lesions in the treatment area
  • Known allergy or hypersensitivity, including to fish or salmon-derived products or to lidocaine
  • A history of keloid or difficulty with wound healing
  • Recent injectables or energy treatments in the area — tell your doctor so timing can be planned

what to expect

What to expect over time

A general guide to how the days and months after treatment usually unfold. Results vary by individual.

  1. DAY 0

    Treatment day

Numbing first, then microinjections. Small raised bumps at the injection sites are common, with mild redness or swelling; skin may feel hydrated.

  2. DAY 1-2

    Bumps settling

The small bumps usually settle within about 1–2 days. Minor bruising, if any, starts to fade.

  3. WEEK 1

    Hydration felt

Many people notice a hydrated, plumped feeling relatively early from the hyaluronic acid. This varies between people.

  4. 1-3 MONTHS

    Skin-quality change

Over the course and the following weeks, texture and elasticity may improve as the skin repairs. (Results vary by individual.)

  5. AFTER THE COURSE

    Review & maintenance

Your doctor reviews the outcome and discusses maintenance timing based on your skin.

Sessions & results

A typical plan is about 3–4 sessions spaced roughly 2–4 weeks apart, with hydration felt early and skin quality developing gradually over the following weeks. Maintenance is considered after a period decided at consultation. (Results vary by individual.)

how it compares

How it compares

These injectable boosters all support skin quality, but they add different things — so the right one depends on whether you want hydration, repair or collagen support.

Neither is “better” — they work differently and suit different goals. The right choice is decided after we assess your skin.

Before you decide, the questions people always ask

before consultation

  • It is the same PN base with hyaluronic acid added. The hyaluronic acid brings moisture in straight away, and the PN then goes on supporting the skin's own recovery. That is why most people notice the hydrated, plumper feeling sooner after the session. It tends to be chosen by those who are troubled by dryness as well.

  • The formula contains an anaesthetic, so patients tell us the injection itself hurts less. The sensation of the needle going in still remains, though, so we use numbing cream alongside it. If you have ever reacted to a local anaesthetic such as lidocaine, you must let us know beforehand.

  • Hyaluronic acid draws water in, so the face can look fuller straight after the session. Combined with the swelling that follows any injection, looking puffier than usual for a day or two is normal. It usually settles on its own, but if only one side is severe or the swelling keeps growing, it needs to be checked.

  • If dryness is your main concern you can carry on with it, but what your skin needs may change over time. Once firmness or scarring becomes the bigger concern, a different formula suits you better. At the end of every course we look again at what troubles you most right now, and decide from there.

  • It is not a treatment that is tied to a season. Dryness gets worse in winter, but strong air conditioning does the same in summer, so we decide by looking at the condition of your skin. Sun care afterwards is needed whatever the season, though, so we recommend keeping sunscreen with you.
