qd re20
Re2O is an injectable skin booster that supplies extracellular-matrix (ECM) components — mainly collagen, along with elastin and hyaluronic acid — directly into the dermis to support the skin’s structural foundation. At QD Clinic in Gangnam, Seoul, we assess your skin first, then decide the areas to treat and the amount to use. A session usually takes about 20–40 minutes including numbing, with little downtime. (Results vary by individual.)
is this for me
Who it’s for
Even if none of these describes you, we will look again at the consultation.
- Dull, thin or crepey skin that has lost firmness
- Those who want to support the skin’s structure, not only hydrate the surface
- Uneven texture or shallow depressed scars
- Anyone comparing next-generation boosters after trying other options
Suitability, treatment areas and the right number of sessions are confirmed during consultation.
Before you pick a treatment name, start with the cause of your concern.
start with your concern
Even a treatment with the same name takes on a different role and scope depending on your current structure, the change you want, what you have had before and the recovery time you have.
01
Where you are now, and where we start
Skin showing dryness, rough texture and loss of elasticity together
02
The change you want, the impression you keep
Rather than adding more volume, we decide where to fill and where to leave alone, and the line at which expression stays natural.
03
How it differs from similar options
We compare what filler, Botox and skin boosters each change and what they cannot change, with the alternatives alongside them.
04
Health information and recovery schedule
Beforehand we check blood thinners, immune conditions and allergies, past injectables, possible pregnancy and the dates that matter.
the
principle
Before the product name we match the actual ingredients, the injection layer and your skin concern, then decide the dose, the interval and anything done alongside it.
Re2O is often described as a fourth-generation, ECM-based booster. Rather than only prompting the skin to make new collagen, it delivers ready-made extracellular-matrix material — mainly collagen, with elastin, hyaluronic acid and other ECM components derived from human-tissue matrix — into the dermis, where it acts as a scaffold that supports dermal structure and remodeling over the following weeks. It is placed with fine microinjections across the treatment area. This differs from polynucleotide boosters such as Rejuran, which support the skin’s own repair, and from PDLLA boosters such as Juvelook, which prompt collagen renewal.

How it works
01
Ready-made matrix, not just a signal
Rather than only prompting the skin to make new collagen, Re2O delivers extracellular-matrix material — mainly collagen, with elastin and hyaluronic acid — directly into the dermis.
02
A scaffold in the dermis
The ECM components act as a supportive scaffold within the dermis, where the skin’s own cells can organize and remodel over the following weeks.
03
Placed with fine microinjections
Fine microinjections distribute the material evenly across the treatment area, at the depth chosen for your skin.
04
Why change is gradual
Because remodeling follows the skin’s own timeline, firmness and texture develop over weeks rather than immediately. (Results vary by individual.)
The same treatment, never the same plan.
the qd standard
Rather than a fashionable name or a fixed package, we weigh the structure found at examination, safety, recovery and the limits within one plan.
- 01DIAGNOSIS FIRSTCause before nameWe first separate out the tissue and the function behind your concern.
- 02LESS, PRECISEOnly as much as neededRather than an excessive change, we plan the smallest scope with a clear role.
- 03HONEST LIMITThe limits, explained tooWe explain the change you can expect, the alternatives, individual differences and the risks.

Ingredients and authenticity
We check the product name, the maker, the ingredients, the expiry date and the use approved for that purpose.
Anatomy and expression
We look at where vessels are at risk, at muscle movement, skin thickness and the proportions of the whole face, then set the injection points.
Small amounts, one stage at a time
Allowing for swelling and the early response, we avoid overcorrection and top it up later if that is needed.
What the procedure is like
- Consultation and skin assessment
- Cleansing and numbing cream
- Microinjections across the treatment area
- Cooling, soothing and aftercare guidance
Time: A session takes about 20–40 minutes, including numbing time.
Please read this before treatment
- Little downtime; small raised bumps at the injection sites may appear and usually settle within about 2–3 days.
- Temporary redness, mild swelling, tenderness or minor bruising may occur.
- Avoid saunas, heat and intense exercise briefly, use sun protection, and follow the soothing guidance we provide.
Safety & considerations
Possible reactions
- Temporary redness, a flushed feeling, or mild swelling at the injection sites
- Small raised bumps or papules that usually settle within a few days
- Tenderness or a tight feeling in the treated area for a short time
- Occasionally minor bruising at injection points
When to take extra care
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding — let us know at consultation
- Active skin infection, inflammation or open lesions in the treatment area
- Known allergy or hypersensitivity to any component of the product
- A history of keloid or difficulty with wound healing
- Recent injectables or energy treatments in the area — tell your doctor so timing can be planned
what to expect
What to expect over time
A general guide to how the days and months after treatment usually unfold. Results vary by individual.
DAY 0
Treatment day
Numbing first, then microinjections. Small raised bumps, mild redness or a flushed feeling may appear at the injection sites.
DAY 1-3
Bumps settling
The small bumps and any swelling usually soften and settle. Minor bruising, if any, begins to fade.
WEEK 1-4
Early remodeling
The skin begins to work with the delivered matrix. Changes at this stage are subtle and vary between people.
4-8 WEEKS
Skin-quality change
As the dermis remodels, many people notice firmer, smoother-looking skin. This is typically when results are assessed. (Results vary by individual.)
AFTER THE COURSE
Review & maintenance
Your doctor reviews the outcome and discusses timing for any maintenance session based on your skin.
Sessions & results
A typical plan is a short course of about 2–3 sessions spaced roughly 4–6 weeks apart, with changes developing gradually over about 4–8 weeks as the skin remodels. A maintenance session may be considered after a period decided at consultation. (Results vary by individual.)
how it compares
How it compares
These injectable skin boosters all support skin quality, but they use different materials and work in different ways, so they suit different goals.
| Re2O | Rejuran | Juvelook | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Main agent | ECM components (collagen, elastin, HA) | Polynucleotides (from salmon DNA) | PDLLA microparticles + HA |
| How it works | Supplies ready-made matrix as a scaffold | Supports the skin’s own repair | Prompts gradual collagen renewal |
| Often chosen for | Structural support, thin or crepey skin | Overall skin quality, fine lines | Texture, glow and subtle structure |
| Sessions | Usually a short course | Usually a course of a few sessions | Usually a short course |
| Downtime | Little; small bumps possible | Little; small bumps possible | Little; small papules possible |
Neither is “better” — they work differently and suit different goals. The right choice is decided after we assess your skin.
Before you decide, the questions people always ask
before consultation
The difference lies in what is placed into the skin. Re2O delivers the extracellular matrix components that form the skin's own scaffolding — collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid — directly, so the underlying foundation is supported. In Rejuran the lead ingredient is PN, which stimulates regeneration, and in Juvelook it is PDLLA, which prompts the skin to build collagen. Put simply, one supplies the material and the other asks the skin to make it.
Some people notice more hydration and a smoother texture after a single session, but we usually plan several sessions as one course. The components that have been placed need time to settle, and the skin needs time to respond. How many sessions you have, and how far apart, is decided after looking at the condition of your skin and what you want to achieve.
Small marks and mild swelling appear where the injections were placed, and they usually settle within one to three days. Some people bruise, so if you have an important occasion coming up it is better to allow about a week. On the day of the treatment, please avoid saunas, strenuous exercise and alcohol.
We also use it on areas where the skin is thin and the texture is a concern, such as the neck and the backs of the hands. Skin thickness and recovery speed differ from one area to another, though, so we set the amount injected and the depth differently. Which areas to treat is something we decide together at the consultation, after examining your skin.
Before the treatment we go through the ingredients in the product alongside any allergies you have had. If you have ever reacted to a particular protein or to an anesthetic, please be sure to tell us. If you are being treated for an autoimmune condition or taking anticoagulants, please let us know in advance as well, so that we can adjust the amount injected and the timing.
