qd ldm regeneration care
LDM (Local Dynamic Micro-massage) is a gentle ultrasound skincare treatment that rapidly alternates between ultrasound frequencies to create a fine “micro-massage” within the skin. At QD Clinic in Gangnam, Seoul, it is often chosen to soothe, hydrate and support the skin’s recovery, including after other procedures. A session usually takes about 20–40 minutes with little to no downtime. (Results vary by individual.)
is this for me
Who it’s for
Even if none of these describes you, we will look again at the consultation.
- Dry, tight or sensitive-feeling skin that needs soothing
- Skin recovering after peels, lasers or other procedures
- Anyone who wants a calming, hydrating treatment with little downtime
- Those looking to support skin texture and firmness gently
LDM is a gentle option; whether it suits your skin and goals is confirmed at consultation.
Before you pick a treatment name, start with the cause of your concern.
start with your concern
Even a treatment with the same name takes on a different role and scope depending on your current structure, the change you want, what you have had before and the recovery time you have.
01
Where you are now, and where we start
Sensitivity, redness, dryness and the state of the skin barrier
02
The change you want, the impression you keep
Rather than changing everything at once, we decide whether texture, pores or tone comes first, and set the order and the goal.
03
How it differs from similar options
We compare how deep a peel, radiofrequency or a care program reaches, and how the irritation and the recovery time differ.
04
Health information and recovery schedule
We check skin conditions and the medication you take, recent treatments and sun exposure, and the dates that matter to you.
the
principle
We check the skin barrier and how your skin is after treatment, then build hydration, soothing and exfoliation care within a range that adds no further irritation.
LDM delivers ultrasound that switches rapidly between frequencies, producing very fast micro-vibrations in the skin — a kind of internal micro-massage. This gentle stimulation is used to support hydration, soothe the look of redness, and encourage the skin’s own renewal by activating fibroblasts, the cells linked to collagen and elastin. Because it is gentle and comfortable, it is often combined with or used after other treatments.

How it works
01
Rapidly alternating ultrasound
LDM switches quickly between ultrasound frequencies, producing very fast micro-vibrations within the skin — a kind of internal micro-massage.
02
A gentle mechanical stimulus
This gentle stimulation is used to support hydration and soothe the look of redness, working with the skin rather than heating or exfoliating it.
03
Fibroblast support
By gently stimulating fibroblasts — the cells linked to collagen and elastin — it is used to encourage the skin’s own renewal over time.
04
Comfortable and combinable
Because it is gentle, it is often used after other procedures to soothe the skin, or repeated regularly as care. (Results vary by individual.)
The same treatment, never the same plan.
the qd standard
Rather than a fashionable name or a fixed package, we weigh the structure found at examination, safety, recovery and the limits within one plan.
- 01DIAGNOSIS FIRSTCause before nameWe first separate out the tissue and the function behind your concern.
- 02LESS, PRECISEOnly as much as neededRather than an excessive change, we plan the smallest scope with a clear role.
- 03HONEST LIMITThe limits, explained tooWe explain the change you can expect, the alternatives, individual differences and the risks.

From consultation to follow-up, planned as one flow.

Checking the skin
We first check for inflammation, wounds and infection, the skin barrier, and any recent treatments or medication.
Choosing intensity and area
To match the main concern — pores, scars, flaking or dryness — we set the tip, the depth, the contact time or the stage of care.
Restoring the barrier
We explain moisturizing and sun protection afterwards, how long to keep irritation down, and when to call about an unusual reaction.
What the procedure is like
- Consultation and skin assessment
- Cleansing and preparation
- LDM ultrasound applied with gel across the treatment areas
- Soothing, hydration and sun-protection guidance
Time: A session usually takes about 20–40 minutes.
Please read this before treatment
- Little to no downtime; most people return to daily activities right away.

Safety & considerations
Possible reactions
- Mild, temporary redness or warmth that usually settles quickly

what to expect
What to expect over time
A general guide to how the days and months after treatment usually unfold. Results vary by individual.
DAY 0
Treatment day
The ultrasound is applied with gel across the treatment areas. Mild, temporary redness or warmth may occur and usually settles quickly; most people return to their day right away.
SAME DAY
Calmer, hydrated feel
Skin often feels calmer and more hydrated soon after. This varies from person to person.
ACROSS A SERIES
Building gently
Because it is gentle, LDM is often done as a series, with skin looking calmer and more hydrated over time. (Results vary by individual.)
AFTER OTHER PROCEDURES
Soothing support
When used after peels, lasers or injectables, it is timed by your team to support recovery.
ONGOING
Regular care
It can be repeated regularly; your rhythm is planned at consultation.
Sessions & results
LDM is often done as a series and, because it is gentle, can be repeated regularly; your rhythm is planned at consultation, with skin looking calmer and more hydrated over time. (Results vary by individual.)
how it compares
How it compares
These are gentle skin-care options that work in different ways, so the right choice depends on what your skin needs.
| LDM Regeneration Care | Peel | General care | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Approach | Dual-frequency ultrasound micro-massage | Cosmetic acids exfoliate surface cells | Cleansing plus hydration, soothing or scrubber steps |
| Targets | Soothing, hydration and gentle renewal | Dullness, texture and congestion | Cleansing, hydration and maintenance |
| Sessions | Often repeated as a series | A short series, then maintenance | Repeated regularly as maintenance |
| Sensation | Gentle warmth, generally comfortable | Mild tingling or warmth during application | Gentle and relaxing |
| Downtime | Little to none | Little; light flaking possible | Little to none |
Neither is “better” — they work differently and suit different goals. The right choice is decided after we assess your skin.
Before you decide, the questions people always ask
before consultation
It delivers ultrasound while switching rapidly between frequencies, which sets up extremely fine vibrations inside the skin. Rather than reshaping tissue with heat, it works more on the side of calming the skin and supporting its recovery. That makes it very low-irritation, which is why we often use it as follow-up care after other treatments.
Many people add it straight after another treatment to calm the skin. That said, some treatments should not be followed by anything right away, so we decide based on how your skin looks that day. Tell us which treatment you had and we will let you know whether LDM Regeneration Care can follow it.
Because it is so gentle, it is often the choice for sensitive skin. Even so, we need to look at what is causing the redness first — if there is dermatitis or an infection, treating that comes first. We begin once the cause has been confirmed during your examination.
This is care centered on calming and hydration, so it is not a treatment whose dramatic changes stay with you for a long time. It is more accurate to expect the feeling of comfortable, settled skin to carry on for a few days to a few weeks. It works best as regular upkeep that holds your skin in good condition.
Almost none. It feels like a lukewarm vibration passing over the skin, and patients rarely report pain. You can put on makeup and go straight back to your day afterwards. On days when your skin is especially sensitive, though, a faint flush may linger for a short while.
