qd potenza pumping tip

The Potenza pumping tip pairs RF microneedling with a delivery function: as the needles create micro-channels and release RF heat, the tip helps push a chosen skin-booster solution into the dermis. It is aimed at skin quality — hydration, smoothness and glow. At QD Clinic in Gangnam, Seoul, we assess your skin and decide the solution and settings together. A session usually takes about 20–40 minutes with little downtime. (Results vary by individual.)

is this for me

Who it’s for

Even if none of these describes you, we will look again at the consultation.

  • Dull, dehydrated or tired-looking skin
  • Anyone who wants to combine RF microneedling with skin-booster delivery
  • Skin that absorbs topical care unevenly and needs deeper delivery

The solution delivered is selected at consultation based on your skin. The pumping tip is a delivery method, not a specific product claim.

Before you pick a treatment name, start with the cause of your concern.

start with your concern

Even a treatment with the same name takes on a different role and scope depending on your current structure, the change you want, what you have had before and the recovery time you have.

  • 01

Where you are now, and where we start

Skin where microneedling and the delivery of applied ingredients are planned together

  • 02

The change you want, the impression you keep

Rather than changing everything at once, we decide whether texture, pores or tone comes first, and set the order and the goal.

  • 03

How it differs from similar options

We compare how deep a peel, radiofrequency or a care program reaches, and how the irritation and the recovery time differ.

  • 04

    Health information and recovery schedule

We check skin conditions and the medication you take, recent treatments and sun exposure, and the dates that matter to you.

the
principle

Needle depth, radiofrequency mode and tip are planned separately according to scarring, pores, sebum and inflammation.

With the pumping tip, fine needles enter the dermis, deliver RF heat and — using controlled pressure — release a skin-booster solution along the micro-channels they create. Delivering into freshly formed pathways is intended to distribute the solution more evenly and deeper than topical application alone, while the RF heat supports the skin’s natural renewal. The solution, needle depth and energy are matched to your skin at consultation.

How it works

  • 01

    Three actions in one pass

Fine microneedles enter the dermis, release radiofrequency heat and — using controlled pressure — deposit a chosen skin-booster solution along the micro-channels they create, all in the same pass.

  • 02

    Delivery into freshly made pathways

Placing the solution into channels the needles have just formed is intended to spread it more evenly and deeper than applying product to the surface, where much of it cannot penetrate.

  • 03

Solution and settings are matched to you

The pumping tip is a delivery method rather than one fixed product. The solution, needle depth and energy are selected at consultation based on your skin and goals.

  • 04

    Change builds gradually

The radiofrequency heat supports the skin’s natural renewal while the delivered solution works over time, so improvements in hydration and smoothness appear gradually. (Results vary by individual.)

The same treatment, never the same plan.

the qd standard

Rather than a fashionable name or a fixed package, we weigh the structure found at examination, safety, recovery and the limits within one plan.

personal plan

The Potenza pumping tip pairs RF microneedling with a delivery function: as the needles create micro-channels and release RF heat, the tip helps push a chosen skin-booster solution into the dermis. It is aimed at skin quality — hydration, smoothness and glow. At QD Clinic in Gangnam, Seoul, we assess your skin and decide the solution and settings together. A session usually takes about 20–40 minutes with little downtime. (Results vary by individual.)

  • Checking the skin

We first check for inflammation, wounds and infection, the skin barrier, and any recent treatments or medication.

  • Choosing intensity and area

To match the main concern — pores, scars, flaking or dryness — we set the tip, the depth, the contact time or the stage of care.

  • Restoring the barrier

We explain moisturizing and sun protection afterwards, how long to keep irritation down, and when to call about an unusual reaction.

What the procedure is like

  1. Consultation and skin assessment
  2. Cleansing and topical numbing for comfort
  3. RF microneedling with the pumping tip, delivering the chosen solution
  4. Cooling and aftercare guidance

Time: A session takes about 20–40 minutes, depending on the areas treated.

Please read this before treatment

  • Little downtime; many people apply makeup the next day.
  • Temporary redness, mild swelling, warmth or light flaking may occur for about 1–3 days.
  • Use gentle moisturizing and daily sun protection as we advise.

Safety & considerations

Possible reactions

  • Temporary redness, a flushed feeling or mild swelling
  • Tiny pinpoint marks where the needles entered, and light flaking
  • Warmth, tightness or sensitivity in treated areas for a short time
  • Occasionally small bruising, or brief sensitivity to the delivered solution

When to take extra care

  • Active skin infection, inflammation or open lesions in the treatment area
  • A known sensitivity or allergy to ingredients in the intended solution — tell your doctor
  • Current or recent isotretinoin, or recent peels, lasers or other resurfacing — so timing can be planned
  • A history of keloid or difficulty with wound healing, or a tendency toward post-inflammatory pigmentation
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding, and any implanted electrical device or metal implant in the area — let us know at consultation

what to expect

What to expect over time

A general guide to how the days and months after treatment usually unfold. Results vary by individual.

  1. DAY 0

    Treatment day

Warmth during treatment, then redness, mild swelling and possible tiny pinpoint marks where the needles entered. Skin may feel plumped from the delivered solution. Most people apply makeup the next day.

  2. DAY 1-3

    Settling

Redness, warmth and any light flaking generally settle. Gentle moisturizing and daily sun protection can resume as advised.

  3. WEEK 1-4

    Early glow

Some people notice skin looking more hydrated and even. This varies from person to person. (Results vary by individual.)

  4. ACROSS A SERIES

    Gradual skin-quality change

As sessions build over several weeks, hydration, smoothness and glow develop progressively for many people. (Results vary by individual.)

  5. MAINTENANCE

    Review & upkeep

Your doctor reviews the outcome and, if appropriate, discusses timing for occasional maintenance based on your skin.

Sessions & results

Skin-quality care with the pumping tip is often planned as a series spaced several weeks apart, with changes appearing gradually. A maintenance plan is discussed at consultation. (Results vary by individual.)

how it compares

How it compares

These all aim to improve skin quality, but they differ in how a solution reaches the skin and whether energy is involved, so they suit different goals.

Neither is “better” — they work differently and suit different goals. The right choice is decided after we assess your skin.

Before you decide, the questions people always ask

before consultation

  • Up to the point where microneedles open channels and deliver RF heat, the two work the same way. The difference is that the Pumping Tip also drives a skin booster solution down through those channels, so the result leans toward hydration and radiance. If pores and scars are your main concern, a different tip suits you better.

  • We decide it according to your skin condition and your goal, and we choose it together during the consultation. Before treatment we show you exactly what is going in and what it contains. If you are allergic to a particular ingredient, or have reacted to one before, please tell us in advance — checking the ingredient list is safer than choosing by product name alone.

  • Fine channels form in the barrier that normally seals the surface of the skin, so more of the solution reaches deeper than with topical application alone. How much actually gets in still depends on the ingredient and the settings, so absorption is not unlimited. We will agree on what you can realistically expect during the consultation.

  • Redness can last a day or two and flaking a few days, so we recommend at least a week to ten days beforehand. If you want your skin at its best on the day itself, it is better to plan several sessions in advance. Tell us the date if it is already set — we will schedule the sessions working backwards from it.

  • On the day itself it is best to wash gently with lukewarm water and use only a mild moisturizer. Color makeup is safe from the following day. Go back to irritating actives such as acids or retinoids only after the redness has settled completely.
