qd full face onda lifting

Full Face ONDA Lifting uses microwave energy called Coolwaves across the face for firmness and a gentle contour, with a face-tightening tip that warms deeper tissue while integrated cooling protects the skin surface. It suits people who want overall firmness and a softer contour together. At QD Clinic in Gangnam, Seoul, we map the face after assessing your skin; a session usually takes about 30–60 minutes with little downtime. (Results vary by individual.)

is this for me

Who it’s for

Even if none of these describes you, we will look again at the consultation.

  • Mild laxity across the face with a wish for overall firmness
  • People who want firmness and a softer contour together
  • Those who prefer a microwave-based option with little downtime
  • Anyone looking to complement other lifting treatments

ONDA supports firmness and contour; whether it fits your goals, and how it compares with ultrasound or radiofrequency, is confirmed at consultation.

Before you pick a treatment name, start with the cause of your concern.

start with your concern

Even a treatment with the same name takes on a different role and scope depending on your current structure, the change you want, what you have had before and the recovery time you have.

  • 01

Where you are now, and where we start

How fat is distributed across the face and how elastic the skin is

  • 02

The change you want, the impression you keep

Rather than how much to lift, we first decide what impression to leave, then mark out how much expression and volume to keep.

  • 03

How it differs from similar options

We compare how deep ultrasound, radiofrequency and microwave energy reach and what each does, alongside thread lifting and surgery.

  • 04

    Health information and recovery schedule

We check medication and conditions, any implant in the area, possible pregnancy and the dates that matter, then set the timing and intensity.

the
principle

We separate the target areas for Coolwaves microwave energy according to fat distribution and skin elasticity, and design the plan so that too much volume is not lost.

ONDA delivers Coolwaves — microwave energy at 2.45 GHz — through a handpiece with integrated cooling. The energy warms deeper tissue to encourage firmness and contour, while the cooling protects the skin surface. Across the face, a face-tightening tip is used to warm the dermis and support the contour. Your treatment areas and settings are personalized after a skin assessment.

How it works

  • 01

    Microwave energy — Coolwaves

ONDA uses microwave energy at 2.45 GHz, called Coolwaves — a different part of the energy spectrum from ultrasound or radiofrequency.

  • 02

    Drawn to water-rich tissue

Microwaves at this frequency are preferentially absorbed by water-rich tissue, so the energy warms the dermis to support firmness and contour.

  • 03

    The surface stays cooled

The handpiece has integrated cooling that protects the skin surface while the deeper tissue is warmed.

  • 04

    Gradual change over a course

ONDA is usually planned as a short course of sessions; firmness and contour change develop gradually rather than immediately.

The same treatment, never the same plan.

the qd standard

Rather than a fashionable name or a fixed package, we weigh the structure found at examination, safety, recovery and the limits within one plan.

  • 01DIAGNOSIS FIRSTCause before nameWe first separate out the tissue and the function behind your concern.
  • 02LESS, PRECISEOnly as much as neededRather than an excessive change, we plan the smallest scope with a clear role.
  • 03HONEST LIMITThe limits, explained tooWe explain the change you can expect, the alternatives, individual differences and the risks.

personal plan

Full Face ONDA Lifting uses microwave energy called Coolwaves across the face for firmness and a gentle contour, with a face-tightening tip that warms deeper tissue while integrated cooling protects the skin surface. It suits people who want overall firmness and a softer contour together. At QD Clinic in Gangnam, Seoul, we map the face after assessing your skin; a session usually takes about 30–60 minutes with little downtime. (Results vary by individual.)

  • Layer-by-layer diagnosis

We examine whether the sagging, the lines or the volume sit closer to the dermis, the fat or the deep supporting layer.

  • Mapping by area

We mark what to treat, what volume to keep and what to avoid, so the settings differ even within one face.

  • A plan built on response

Taking in how your skin reacted, how it felt and any earlier energy treatments, we set the intensity, the area and the follow-up point.

What the procedure is like

  1. Consultation and skin assessment
  2. Cleansing and mapping of facial zones
  3. Microwave (Coolwaves) delivery with cooling
  4. Soothing and aftercare guidance

Time: A full-face session takes about 30–60 minutes.

  • Little to no downtime; most people return to daily activities the same day.
  • Temporary redness or warmth across the face may occur.
  • Use sun protection and follow the aftercare guidance we provide.

Safety & considerations

Possible reactions

  • Temporary redness or a warm feeling
  • Mild swelling or tenderness in the treated area for a short time
  • Occasionally small areas of bruising
  • Rarely, temporary changes in skin sensation that typically settle

When to take extra care

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding — let us know at consultation
  • Implanted electrical devices such as a pacemaker, or metal implants in the area — tell your doctor
  • Active skin infection, inflammation or open lesions in the treatment area
  • Recent fillers, threads or other energy treatments — tell your doctor so timing can be planned
  • A history of keloid or difficulty with wound healing

what to expect

What to expect over time

A general guide to how the days and months after treatment usually unfold. Results vary by individual.

  1. DAY 0

    First session

Warmth during treatment across the face, eased by the integrated cooling; afterwards mild redness or a warm feeling that usually settles within hours. Most people return to daily activities the same day.

  2. DAY 1-3

    Settling

Any redness or warmth generally eases. Makeup and normal skincare can usually resume as advised.

  3. BETWEEN SESSIONS

    A gradual course

ONDA is usually a short course spaced as decided at consultation; change builds gradually from session to session rather than all at once.

  4. 2-3 MONTHS

    Gradual change

Over the course, firmness and a softer facial contour develop gradually for many people. This is typically when results are assessed. (Results vary by individual.)

  5. REVIEW

    Review

Your doctor reviews the outcome and discusses whether further sessions suit your skin.

Sessions & results

A short course of sessions is common, spaced as decided at consultation, with changes appearing gradually. Your plan is personalized. (Results vary by individual.)

how it compares

How it compares

These are all non-invasive, energy-based lifting treatments — but they use different energy and reach different depths, so they suit different goals.

Before you decide, the questions people always ask

before consultation

  • Heat gathers where fat sits, so if your cheeks are already on the slim side, the change may not be the one you want. That is why, on the face, we first map the volume that needs to stay and plan around those areas. If volume is a concern for you, please tell us at the consultation — we will set the treatment area differently.

  • No. The fat layer on the face is thin and nerves and vessels run close beneath it, so we work at a lower setting and pass over each area more briefly than on the body. That is why the same device is set differently from one area to another. On the face we put the weight on firmness and contour rather than on reducing fat.

  • In most cases, yes. Redness and a feeling of warmth can linger for a few hours, so it is better not to book the session immediately before something important. You can put on makeup once the redness has settled, and please leave the sauna and hard exercise for another day.

  • When the treatments reach different layers, we sometimes plan them together — ONDA for fat, ultrasound for deeper sagging. That said, layering several kinds of energy on the same day puts more strain on the skin, so spacing the sessions out is safer. We decide the order and the intervals after looking at the condition of your skin.

  • Fat takes time to reduce and collagen takes time to build, so the change appears over several weeks to a few months after the course of sessions is finished. A photo taken right after the treatment tells you very little. We suggest keeping a photo from before you start and taking another in the same light and at the same angle to compare.
